Quite frankly, the biggest tip for small business and professional practice owners regarding QuickBooks is this -- Don't Use It!

Why is this?  Simply put, QuickBooks is an accounting software tool (and not a great one) and spending your time entering and reconciling all your business financial transactions is a VERY BAD USE OF YOUR TIME.  It is what we call a "Non-Value Added" activity.  In other words, this activity in and of itself will usually not help you be successful in your business or financial planning endeavors.

However, if you prefer to continue to use QuickBooks, please take a look at these shortcuts and "tricks of the trade" designed to save you time and make your QuickBooks experience even more productive.
